Yummy ways to use milk

Hey what about rice pudding...

Rice pudding

1 and 1/2 cups or water

3/4 cups of rice

2 cups of Farm fresh milk divided

1/4 teaspoon sea salt

1 beaten large farm fresh egg

I guess if you wanted to , you could add 1/2 cup of raisins or other dried fruit.

I tablespoon farm fresh butter (guess you could use store bought..)

1/2 teaspoon real vanilla

1/2 teaspoon rum or imitation rum

cinnamon to top when serving...Optional

In a large heavy bottom pan heat up the water to a boiling, now add the rice and give it a good stir.

Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 20 minutes.

Now that the 20 minutes have passed and the rice is cooked, combine the cooked rice, one and 1 1/2 cup milk, the sugar and the salt.

Cook again at med heat until it turns creamy (about 20 min.), than stir in the remained of the milk with the beaten egg and fruit if using.

Cook for another minute or 2 and than remove from heat add vanilla and rum.  When you serve you can add some powdered cinnamon for a little extra kick.

Makes like 4 reg servings...2 at my house...lol
